                           Outline of Achievements

Outline
For the duration of my career I founded the top theory expertise in my research field,
organized the active and productive teams, developed the frontier research,
elaborated the synergistic and educational programs, and launched the experimental programs.
I enabled this machine to run well, and systematically produce significant and intellectually strong results.

Achievements, the University of Western Australia, 2017-present
Discoveries: These included 3 discoveries resolving classical problems of interface dynamics and interfacial  mixing (the new fluid instabilities, the inertial mechanism of interface stabilization, the special self-similarity class).
Research Outputs: My research contributions were published by word class publishers in lead journals. These included 13 edited books and collections (3 in process, 10 published by, e.g., Natl. Acad. Sci. USA, Springer Nature, IOPP, Amer. Inst. Phys.), 9 book chapters (2 in process, 7 published), 64 papers (7 in process, 57 published in, e.g., Proc. Natl . Acad. Sci. USA, Nature, Phys. Fluids, Phys. Plasmas, Phys. Reviews), 10 video recordings (by, e.g., ICERM, KITP, LLNL), 2 video interviews (Natl. Acad. Sci. USA & Amer. Phys. Soc.); in total 96 outputs.
Grants: My research and synergistic programs were supported through highly competitive grants; in total ~$2,170,000 ($2,090,000 for research projects, $124,000 for conference support).
Recognitions: My contributions to science and community were recognized by prestigious professional societies (Fellow of the American Physical Society, Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials), high impact journals (featured papers, editor’s picks, special collections, video-interviews and pod-cast by, e.g., the Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA and Nature; outstanding editor award by, e.g., Frontiers), and professional communities (e.g., SciLight by the Amer. Inst. Physics, science medal by the Int. Assoc. Adv. Materials, releases of invited talks by the Amer. Phys. Society), and were influential in garnering public interest (e.g., media release by phys.org); in total 20 outputs.
Presentations: My scientific contributions and research impact were honored through invitations to give 29  invited talks at the top-ranking research institutions, and to deliver 31 plenary and invited lectures at high profile international conferences (including, e.g., Amer. Phys. Soc. March Meetings, Int. Cong. Ind. Appl. Math., Joint Math. Meeting); in total 119 presentations.
Synergistic Activities: My contributions to the community reflected the leadership role of theory research. These included the service to the professional societies (as member of the Committee on Scientific Publications of the Amer. Phys. Soc.), the execution of the editorial work (as editor and board member in 5 journals with lead publishers, edited 12 books and collections), the organization of high profile international conferences (as chair / organizer of 11 conferences and invited symposiums), and the development of scientific programs (‘Turbulent Mixing and Beyond’).

Educational Services: I mentored and advised specialists (1 Associate Professor, 2 Assistant Professors, 5  Researchers) and trained students (12 PhD, 2 MS, 5 Honors); in total 29 trainees. I designed and taught new programs for professional, graduate and undergraduate education (2 tutorials, 2 graduate, 2 undergraduate courses); in total 6 courses.
